Breakthrough for film construction
The deadlock in construction crew negotiations has been broken following talks at ACAS.
An outline agreement has been reached which is set to be circulated to the membership in a consultative ballot.
BECTU representatives were joined at ACAS on 22 July by representatives from PACT and the major film producers.
Talks over the union’s claim, and management’s response, had been stalled since March.
Last month, members attending an open meeting at Pinewood endorsed the recommendation from BECTU that ACAS should be invited to assist with the talks.
