BBC Resources sale delayed
The BBC cancelled a meeting with union representatives last week because it had no firm proposal on the Resources sale to table.
The BBC expects to get the approval of the BBC Board of management and the BBC Trust in time to announce definite plans at a meeting due next month.
Assistant General Secretary Luke Crawley said "This further delay is unsatisfactory as our members in Resources would like to know what is in store for them.
“We oppose the sale because it is not in the best interest of the licence fee payers or the BBC but we also need to protect our members in the event of a sale."
The BBC has agreed with BECTU that there will be a minimum period of 90 days from the announcement of a preferred bidder or bidders before any sale would take place.
