3.9% West End increase
A 3.9% pay increase has been agreed for London West End theatre members.
The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) has agreed to pay in full BECTU's claim for a 3.9% increase on all minimum rates of pay and allowances laid down in the SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
BECTU Supervisory Official Willie Donaghy said: "This settlement represents an increase of 1% above inflation, and is the third increase above the rate of inflation in less than two years".
BECTU will now concentrate on modernising the SOLT/BECTU Agreement, a process that was agreed as part of last year's pay dispute resolution.
Both BECTU and SOLT, representing London West End theatre management, have agreed the current agreement needs updating, modernising and simplifying.
Following an initial meeting with SOLT it is planned to hold meetings of West End members to discuss the process.
