Cineworld RPI pay offer
Cineworld members are being offered a RPI pay offer which union negotiators are recommending is accepted.
The Cineworlds Sub-Divisional Committee (SDC) negotiating team have concluded this year's pay talks with the cinema chain management and now believe that they can recommend to its members they accept the offer.
The offer follows previous talks on Cineworld pay.
SDC Chair Mick Corfield explained: "The company has agreed to our request of RPI (inflation rate) based on the government's figure to be announced on 16 October.
"This award will then be backdated to 1 October if members follow our advice and accept the offer. A full SDC was called where it was unanimously agreed to accept the offer".
He went on to add: "We have also managed to agree a further 0.5% to be paid on top of our annual yearly bonus to the company's projection members only".
With the agreement that there will be also no changes to current terms and conditions again this year.
Corfield continued: "Our members don't understand that negotiations start very early on in the year and take a lot of time and preparation.
"I cannot thank the negotiating committee and National Official Jim Johnstone enough for the hard work they have put into this year's pay award. May I also add thanks to the many members who have expressed their appreciation for my efforts, it is an honour to represent you".
The company have approached the negotiating team once again to discuss performance related pay and the team have given the company assurances that they will consider working towards this for next year's pay award.
