BBC Pension union nominee

The unions are backing BECTU member Anne Duffell in the March election for a BBC Pension Fund Trustee.

BBC staff unions BECTU, NUJ and AEEU are asking members in the Corporation to use their votes to put Anne into the Trustee's seat vacated by another BECTU member Avril Barker, who has completed her term of office.

If elected Anne says she will be committed to preserving the value of members' investments in the Pension Scheme, as well as the benefits package the Scheme offers.

"By the time many of us retire the state pension will be worth very little, and therefore the BBC pension will be even more important" says Anne.

Ethical investments also feature in Anne's manifesto: "Where the Trustees have a choice ... the ethical option should be thoroughly investigated, and if possible, taken up".

Anne Duffell has spent almost all her BBC career in local radio, and currently works as a Broadcast Journalist at Radio Stoke producing breakfast and drivetime programmes.
