BBC Pension Fund success

Anne Duffell, the union supported Pension Fund Trustee candidate, has been successful in a staff ballot.

Anne was supported by BBC staff unions BECTU, NUJ and AEEU and will be a Trustee of the Corporation's Pension Fund from 1 May 2000 to 30 April 2006.

She replaces the seat vacated by another BECTU member Avril Barker, who has completed her term of office.

In her manifesto for the election Anne raised the subject of ethical investments: "Where the Trustees have a choice ... the ethical option should be thoroughly investigated, and if possible, taken up".

Anne Duffell has spent almost all her BBC career in local radio, and currently works as a Broadcast Journalist at Radio Stoke producing breakfast and drivetime programmes.
