Resources pay offer accepted
BECTU members in BBC Resources have voted in a ballot to accept a 3.5% pay offer.
In the ballot covering staff in the BBC's television facilities subsidiary, 80% of members responding voted to accept the offer, which includes provisions aimed specifically at lower-paid staff.
No one will receive a cash increase of less than £550, and London Weighting will be increased by 4.35% for staff earning less than £22,000 a year, taking the figure to £3,600, and the minimum salary, excluding London Weighting, will go up to £12,601.
It is expected the increase will be included in the April 2005 pay roll.
Pay bargaining in Resources is separate from the overall BBC pay negotiations, which have an anniversary date of August.
