APA at ACAS

Travel payments under the freelance Commercials Agreement have been referred to ACAS.

The quarterly liaison meeting between BECTU and the AEEU, and the APA (Advertising Producers Association) discussed the freelance Commercials Agreement on 4 July.

At the meeting the unresolved question of payment for travel time after long days was referred to a conciliation meeting at ACAS on 23 July.

Other issues discussed included mileage, Designated Drivers (members supplying substantial equipment to productions), and Saturday working.
