BFI action wins pay deal

Following industrial action BFI members are voting on a new pay deal.

Under the new agreement BECTU and Amicus MSF members at the BFI (British Film Institute) are being offered a two-year package:

  • 3% or £600, whichever is greater, for 2001
  • A second increase of the same amount of 2002
  • Reinstatement of childcare provisions for parents
  • Christmas Eve becoming a full day holiday
  • A 4% performance related bonus in April 2002 based on team rather than individual merit
The agreement was reached at ACAS following the suspension of industrial action by both BECTU and Amicus MSF members.
