Training bursaries for freelancers

Skillset is offering London-based freelancers £800 towards a training course to boost their careers.

Freelancers from all disciplines across all sectors in the audio-visual industries (but not theatre) can apply for 40 'Focus on Freelancers' bursaries. The scheme is funded by the European Social Fund via the Learning and Skills Council London Central.

Successful applicants will receive a 'training needs analysis' session to identify the training that will best serve their individual skills needs and career ambitions. A bursary for up to 75% of the cost of that course, to a maximum of £800, will then be provided.

There is also a limited number of bursaries available supported by Film London, open to freelancers and non-freelancers.
