Bristol wildlife agreement

BECTU wildlife camera freelancers have voted to accept a pay offer from BBC Bristol's Natural History Unit.

Most will receive a flat-rate increase of £11.25 on their daily rate.

This is the first round of pay negotiations since BECTU won collective bargaining rights for wildlife camera freelancers in 2004.

As part of the statutory procedure 97% of members voted in favour of union recognition last year.

This followed a protracted process of legal challenges by the BBC, which ended up in the Appeal Court.
