Second media graduates' show
The BECTU Media Production Graduates' Show is to return in early April following it's success in 1997.
The show will allow industry professionals to see different types of work from BECTU graduates from around the country.
Alan Parker, director of Evita, The Commitments and many others, will be introducing the event, and the guest list includes Channel 4 commissioning editors, PACT members and producers from within BECTU.
BECTU official Spencer MacDonald comments: "The event is a networking exercise for the graduates and members who are showing their work. This year we are particularly looking for animations as we hope to run two strands, one live action and the other animation. In addition, we are keen to receive proposals for exhibits from graduate members".
BECTU has brought on board an impressive array of commercial sponsors which include BAFTA, BBC Talent 2000 and PACT's Independent Production Training Fund.
The first show in December 1997 included showreels from graduate directors and displays of the work of make-up artistes.
The Media production Graduates' Show will take place on 8 April 1999 at BAFTA in London's Piccadilly.
