BECTU at UNI's first Congress

BECTU representatives are attending UNI's first World Congress in Berlin.

The aim of the Congress, the first since UNI (Union Network International) was launched last year, is to put people first in the new economy.

Attended by 2000 delegates, observers, ambassadors and guests, the Congress is being held at the Estrel Convention Centre in Berlin, Germany.

Amongst BECTU representatives attending are General Secretary Roger Bolton and President Tony Lennon.

BECTU is an affiliate of UNI, which has nearly 1,000 member unions representing more than 15 million members across the world.
