September women's course

A women's Organising for Growth course is to be held in September 2002.

This BECTU course has been designed specifically to target new and emerging women representatives from any area of the union.

The course will provide valuable new skills to support Representatives, and will also give a chance to inform BECTU's future policies for the involvement and recruitment of women members in the union.

The course will take place on Thursday September 19 1000-1700 and Friday September 20 0930-1630 at BECTU's new Head Office in Clapham, South West London.

In order to attend members should request time off from their employer - if assistance is required the relevant Branch Secretary or full-time official should be contacted.

The course is free and BECTU will cover the cost of travel and expenses - if overnight accommodation is required Head Office should be informed as soon as possible.
