November 2002 growth course

A further women's Organising for Growth course is to be held in November 2002.

This BECTU course has been designed specifically to target new and emerging women representatives from any area of the union.

The course will provide valuable new skills to support Representatives dealing with members' problems in the workplace.

Some of the issues to be covered include:

  • Recruitment
  • Disciplinary/grievance
  • Health and safety
  • Bullying/harassment
  • Redundancy
The course will take place on Thursday 14 November 2002 0930-1700 at a venue to be announced.

In order to attend members should request time off from their employer - if assistance is required the relevant Branch Secretary or full-time official should be contacted.

The course is free and BECTU will cover the cost of travel and expenses - if overnight accommodation is required Head Office should be informed as soon as possible.
