January 2003 growth course

A further women's Organising for Growth course is to be held in January 2003.

This BECTU course has been designed specifically to target new and emerging women representatives from any area of BECTU.

The Course will provide activists with the skills and knowledge to enable them to:

• Understand and utilise the standard procedures for formal meetings
• Develop communication and presentation skills
• Become more confident in communicating and presenting ideas
• Increase their participation in the BECTU at all levels

The course will take place on 30 and 31 January 2003 at a London venue to be announced.

In order to attend members should request time off from their employer - if assistance is required the relevant Branch Secretary or full-time official should be contacted.

The course is free and BECTU will cover the cost of travel and expenses - if overnight accommodation is required Head Office should be informed as soon as possible.
