2003 growth courses

The 2003 series of Organising for Growth courses have been announced.

The courses has been designed to target new and emerging Union Representatives across BECTU.

The courses cover specific topics and will be held on the following dates in 2003:

  • Women's courses
    • January 30-31 Procedure presentation and communication
    • April 7-8 General course - recruitment and organisation
    • September 11-12 Dealing with member's issues
    • October 6-7 General course - recruitment and organisation
  • Freelance courses
    • February 8-9 Recruitment and organisation
    • November 29-30 Recruitment and organisation
  • Courses for all members
    • February 20-21 Procedure presentation and communications
    • March 14-15 General course - recruitment and organisation
    • April 3-4 Dealing with member's issues
    • June 6-7 General course - recruitment and organisation
    • September 19-20 General course - recruitment and organisation
    • November 10-11 General course - recruitment and organisation
All courses will be held in London.

In order to attend any of the courses members should request time off from their employer - if assistance is required the relevant Branch Secretary or full-time official should be contacted.

The courses are free and BECTU will cover the cost of travel and expenses - if overnight accommodation is required Head Office should be informed as soon as possible.
