BECTU joins in training survey

Members working in the audio-visual sector have been urged to complete a questionnaire issued by the industry training body.

Copies of the survey form, produced by Skillset, have been sent to BECTU members at home, and all have been asked to return them by May 5.

The survey concentrates on the training requirements, and previous training experience, of freelance and employed workers.

However, participants are also asked a series of background questions about their recent employment history, earnings, and ethnic origins, which will give an invaluable snapshot of the current workforce.

Skillset hopes that the survey results will help to identify any skills gaps in the UK audio-visual sector, and influence future decisions about the provision of future traning courses.

As well as being supported by BECTU, the survey has the backing of several government departments, and most other industry bodies.

Members who have not received a printed copy of the questionnaire from the union, can complete an online version at: www.snapsurveys.com
