Big union event in Bristol this month
BECTU is running a series of events in Bristol from 21-23 March, culminating in an Open Day on Friday 23rd.

Held at the city's Watershed Arts Centre, it will be a fantastic opportunity for members to meet their union officials, for freelances to come and network and for the union to introduce itself to students, graduates and non-members.

There will be exhibition stands and a series of workshops such as How to market yourself, run by Skillset's Phil Shingler, and a special seminar with John Brown on how the International Association of Wildlife Filmmakers got the BBC to take freelances seriously. Officials and local reps will also be visiting Bristol-based theatres, cinemas and animation and production companies, with a special open meeting for animators on Thursday night from 7-9pm at The Watershed.There is something for everyone, so if you live in Bristol or the surrounding area, pop in and say hello.
