New media and distribution event

The New Media and Future Distribution Opportunities event has been organised by the Writers, Producers and Directors Branch.

The aim is to inform and educate members and invited guests to learn about new distribution platforms for film and video.

Topics to be covered:

• Video content for mobile phones
• Digital distribution of films
• Interactive gaming and television
• Blu-Ray and HD DVDs

Guest speakers include Patrick Walker from Google, Two Four Interactive's Philip Bourchier O'Ferrall, David Sidebottom from Understanding and Solutions, Howard Kiedaisch from Arts Alliance Media and Alison Berryman from the Waterfront Partnership.

The event takes place on 16 April 2007, 1900-2100, at the BT Auditorium near St Paul's in London.

Members and non-members are welcome to attend, but places are limited and must be reserved through the union's London Production Division at BECTU Head Office.
