Acting SSR Editor sought

BECTU is seeking an Acting Editor for four issues of the union's magazine Stage Screen & Radio.

This is to cover for the Editor's secondment as organiser of the union's Move On Up diversity programme.

The Acting Editor position will be for four issues of Stage Screen & Radio from mid-July to mid-December 2007.

The job involves producing the magazine from start to finish - including:

• writing
• picture research
• production including proof reading
• liaising with the designers, advertising agency and mailing house

Knowledge of trade unions is required; knowledge of the broadcasting, film, theatre and entertainment industries would be an asset.

The Acting Editor will work in consultation with the Editor and will liaise with the union's industrial officials.

Quark XPress (Mac) essential.

This fixed-term position is paid at £2979 per month and will be based at the union's Head Office in Clapham, London SW9.
