November North West Fair
BECTU's North West Fair will be running a series of seminars and workshops for those working in the region's media industry.
The fair, running 8-9 November 2007 at Manchester's Museum of Science and Industry, is for everyone involved in TV, radio, film and the arts in the North West of England.
The two-day event will examine the impact of Salford's new Media City UK on the region as well as provide those attending with an opportunity to pose questions to a distinguished panel involved in the venture.
Alongside this will be a line-up of workshops and seminars:
- Improving your career prospects
- Marketing yourself to employers
- Advice from professionals including pensions and tax
BECTU wants to meet and build contacts with its existing members in the region and introduce newcomers to what the union can do for them. Anyone who joins BECTU during the fair could save £30 on their joining fee.
The North West Fair is free to all participants.
An official registration form will be available before the end of September.
In the meantime those who wish to signal their interest should email Sharon Elliott [email protected], subject North West Fair, along with full name, address, occupation and contact details.
