Sign up for North West Fair!
Registration is now open for BECTU's North West Fair in Manchester on 8-9 November.
The Fair is for those working in broadcasting, film or the creative arts, and will give a unique opportunity to network with other professionals and take part in specialist seminars and workshops focusing on careers and skills.
There will also be exhibitors and hands-on demonstrations showcasing the latest technology.
A highlight of the Fair will be a special Q&A debate on the new Media City UK development in Salford Quays, with a distinguished panel including Felicity Goodey CBE, Chair of Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company; Claire Poyser, Director of Production at ITV; and Barbara Slater, Head of Sport Production at the BBC, chaired by BECTU General Secretary Gerry Morrissey.
Event organiser Sharon Elliott said: "This exciting event is for all those who work in film, TV, radio and the arts, whether you are permanent staff or freelance.
"We are delighted to have the support of the BBC, ITV, Skillset, Thompsons Solicitors, North West Vision & Media and the HMRC [Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs] and we look forward to meeting new and existing members in November."
The Fair, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester on 8-9 November 2007, is a networking opportunity to not only meet BECTU, but also fellow professionals and share ideas.
Pre-registration is essential as spaces for seminars and workshops are limited.
