ITC pay settled at RPI plus 0.75%

BECTU members at the Independent Television commission have voted to accept this year's pay offer.

The increase is based on July's inflation figure, plus 0.75, with a minimum of 3% and a maximum of 4%.

Because the RPI data will not be available until the second Tuesday of August, ITC staff still don't know exactly how much the offer is worth.

However, an interim increase of 3% has already been paid since July 1 is the anniverary date for ITC wage negotiations, and any extra payment generated by the RPI-plus formula will be backdated.

The offer was accepted at a meeting of members, and runs until July 1 2001.
