Career and legal counselling at Sky
BECTU is organising advice sessions for staff at satellite broadcaster BSkyB.
Staff will be able to talk to experts when skillsformedia and Thompsons solicitors visit Osterley on March 14.
Specialist careers advice service skillsformedia, jointly run by BECTU and the lead industry training body Skillset, provides confidential advice to members wishing to take their careers in a new direction and/or move into the freelance market.
On Thursday 14 March Debbie Gould, an established make-up artist and a trained skillsformedia adviser, will be available to brief on what skillsformedia has to offer.
Members wanting more specific information should contact BECTU immediately to book a mini-advice session. Debbie Gould can handle queries from staff working in all BECTU programme making disciplines .
Also on 14 March members wanting legal advice on a work-related issue can book an advice session with Jag Bains - a solicitor working for BECTU's legal advisers Thompsons, the UK's leading employment lawyers who act for workers rather than employers.
For a mini-careers advice session or to talk through a legal query in confidence email [email protected] for a timed appointment. Alternatively call Sharon Elliott on 020 7025 6005. The advisers will be available between 1200-1400. If demand is high we can try to extend the times. A general discussion on skillsformedia will take place between 1300-1330.
