Venue

The venue for Conference will be the Manchester Conference Centre, UMIST, Sackville Street, Manchester M60 1QD.

UMIST, the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, forms part of Europe's largest higher education campus in the northern UK city of Manchester.

The Conference itself will be housed in one of UMIST's conference hall facilities.

BECTU held it's 1998 Conference at the same venue.

The union will reserve accommodation for delegates in hotels in Manchester close to the conference venue, for the nights of Friday 5 and Saturday 6 May 2000.

Delegates making their own accommodation arrangements may claim the union's 24 hour overnight allowance.
