2007 TMA pay offer accepted

BECTU members in regional theatres have voted by a three to one majority to accept the 2007 pay offer from the TMA.

The pay ballot covered those working in UK theatres managed by members of the TMA (Theatrical Management Association).

The offer is subject to ratification by the TMA membership over the next two weeks, but no problems are anticipated by the union.

The increase, which applies to the minimum terms and conditions contained within the BECTU/TMA Agreement, comprises:

  • 4% increase on Grades 1-4 and performance rates
  • 3% increase on all other minimum pay rates
  • 0.5% increase in employers' pension contribution
  • Casual workers to be paid at double time for all hours worked between 2300 and 0900
  • Improvements to pay during adoption leave

The improvements apply to back stage, front of house, box office, production and administration staff.
