Revised Resources salaries

Proposed revised salaries for BBC Resources have been tabled.

At the latest meeting, held to discuss possible changes to Resources pay structure, BECTU Representatives expressed concern that the latest proposals would have the effect of depressing salaries in relation to time worked.

In particular grades 3 and 4 under the proposals appear to be in a worse position relative to current salaries, and staff working days longer than 10 hours could be unfairly penalised.

Management also responded to the question of why they had put forward their proposals.

Further details of the meeting can be found in a separate report.

Members with views on the current situation should provide feedback through the usual channels.
