PACT 2002 claim

BECTU has proposed a number of changes to the PACT Freelance Agreement.

The proposals to amend the agreement with film and TV employers group PACT include:

• A substantial pay rise to tackle the crisis in freelance pay and morale identified by Skillset in their survey late last year which found nearly half of the freelance workforce reporting annual earnings under £20,000.
• An employer contribution to the BECTU Stakeholder Pension.
• A number of changes to the way in which freelance job offers are made and confirmed.

The Freelance Production Agreement with PACT (Producers Association for Film and Television) was last revised in January 2001.
