Online monitoring of PACT deal
BECTU is collecting online feedback from freelance members on the effectiveness of its main independent production agreement.
The agreement with the Producers Association for Cinema and Television (PACT) was recently renewed after a postal vote of BECTU's 10,000 freelance members, and the union is now monitoring whether production companies belonging to PACT are offering the terms and conditions contained in it.
As part of this process BECTU has launched an online questionnaire so that freelancers can report back on their experiences - good or bad - with independents.
All responses will be treated in strictest confidence, and summary information from the questionnaires will be used to guide the union's attitude at regular monitoring meetings with PACT.
