2004 proposals issued
Proposals for BECTU's 2004 Conference in Liverpool have been issued.
BECTU Branches and the NEC (National Executive Committee) have submitted proposals for this year's Annual Conference to be held in May.
Beforehand BECTU Branches have until 25 March 2004 to put forward amendments to the proposed changes.
Both these amendments and the original proposals will be subject to debate and voting at Conference by Branch delegates from across the union.
Under BECTU Rule the NEC is proposing two changes to the Rules concerning subscriptions and NEC collective responsibility.
The union's Annual Conference is being held at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool on Saturday 8 May 2004.
BECTU Branches are reminded they must notify Head Office of their Conference delegates by Friday 26 March 2004.
On Sunday 9 May 2004 separate Conferences for the following Divisions of the union will also be taking place in Liverpool:
- BBC
- Independent Broadcasting
- Arts and Entertainment
