Manchester ethnic event expands

Children's BBC will be offering one-to-one sessions with participants

New names are being added to the list of companies taking part in Move On Up North.

Children's BBC is now planning a additional workshop on portrayal at the event, which is aimed at ethnic professionals in TV and film looking for contact with industry executives.

Stephen McGinn, head of Objective North, and Talat Farooq Awan, producer for Asian programmes on BBC Radio Lancashire and GMR, have joined the line-up of industry executives available for one-to-one meetings.

The deadline for applications for Move On Up North is Friday, 25th November, and the event is open to industry workers from across the UK - applicants do not have to live in the north of England.

A total of 67 industry executives have so far agreed to attend the event which is organised by BECTU in partnership with the BBC, ITV Granada and CDN North
