Partial pay deal at Granada
Two of the four TV companies in Granada Media Group (GMG) have settled this year's pay claim.
However staff in London and Manchester plan to press on with industrial action.
The settlements at Yorkshire and Tyne Tees TV came after members of BECTU, NUJ and AEEU voted to accept a two-year pay deal worth 3% in 1999, and a further increase next year of 2.5%, or RPI+0.5%, £450, whichever is the greatest.
Union members at Granada Manchester and Liverpool sites voted to reject a similar offer, and plan meetings on 17 and 18 June to discuss intensification of their current industrial action. Since late February there has been a work to rule in which staff have refused to work days longer than 12 hours
In Manchester and Liverpool industrial action is likely to be stepped up from 5 July in an effort to improve the company's offer.
The fourth GMG company, London Weekend Television, is still at stalemate in its pay talks - no improvements have been made since the beginning of the work to rule, which members plan to continue.
