Talks revived at Scottish Media

Further talks are planned on pay at Scottish TV and Grampian before a work-to-rule.

Shop meetings in Glasgow and Aberdeen this week agreed to accept a management offer of renewed negotiations to resolve a dispute started by the company's decision to impose a pay rise without agreement in January.

However, members also called for an earlier strike ballot to be put into effect by imposing a work-to-rule from May 9, the day after the proposed meeting with management of Scottish Media Group, which owns the two TV stations.

In the ballot a resounding majority of members voted for industrial action, including the possibility of strikes.

A decision on whether or not to proceed with the work-to-rule will be made according to progress at the talks with SMG.
