Glyndebourne seal 8% pay rise

Staff working at Glyndebourne have secured an impressive two-year 8% pay rise, which will run from 1 January 2008 to December 2009.

The deal was agreed for all rates within the collective agreement, which covers technical, production and cleaners grades.

Arts & Entertainment supervisory official Willy Donaghy commented: "It is very unusual to have such a good pay rise front-loaded. It is a direct result of the well organised and disciplined branch, and special mention should go to Andrew Connor, Karen Wilson and Jerry Skelton."
