ROH members accept 4.5% pay deal
Members at the Royal Opera House have voted to accept a 4.5% pay deal; the decision was taken at a branch meeting yesterday.
The review will be backdated to 1 April 2008 and will run for 17 months. Also included is a 5% increase in certain staff allowances.
Commenting on the conclusion to the review, Willy Donaghy, BECTU supervisory official said, “Our members have taken the view that this is the best deal that could be achieved by negotiation.”
From 2009 pay will be reviewed at the Royal Opera House from 1 September each year to coincide with the start of the season.
