Cineworld ballot further extended

The ballot on Cineworld's pay offer has been further extended to 26 October due to the industrial action at the Post Office.

The ballot is being held on a RPI (inflation rate) pay offer for 2007-2008, which negotiators are recommending members' accept.

The ballot had already been extended to 19 October - a further week has now been added to take account of the Post Office situation.

The union is asking Cineworld members to return ballot papers urgently.

Any members in the cinema chain who have not received papers should contact National Official Jim Johnstone at BECTU Head Office.
