West End theatre pay deal

BECTU members working in West End theatres have accepted a 4.8% pay award effective from 6 October 2008.

The award, which is line with the current rate of inflation, is an interim settlement ahead of the renegotiation of the union’s collective agreement with the Society of London Theatre.

BECTU is preparing for a series of workshops next month to discuss proposed new job descriptions and grading ahead of talks on the new agreement.
