BECTU Cymru’s Media Fair, which takes place in Cardiff on Saturday 7 March 2009, is now taking bookings.
The event, which is open to members and non-members, will deliver a packed programme from the landmark Atrium building in Adam Street, Cardiff, which is home to the Skillset Sceen Academy for Wales.
“There’s something here for everyone whether you’re involved in production, craft or technical”
Early booking is advised, and particularly for workshops, where places are limited. BECTU members are entitled to free entry; non-members pay £10.00.
The Fair will run from 1000-1630. Please use the online booking form (English and Welsh language versions below) to secure your place.
“We’re very excited about this event, the first of its kind organised by BECTU members in Wales,” said Sian Gale, Chair of the South Wales Freelance branch.
“There’s something here for everyone whether you’re involved in production, craft or technical; the Fair also provides a fabulous opportunity for people to find out what funding and support services are available, to see the fantastic facilities available at the Cardiff School for Creative and Cultural industries, and, of course, to meet friends, old and new.”
Interest in the event has been strong amongst branches across Wales; representatives from the North and South Wales Freelance branches and BBC Cardiff have helped to design the Fair programme.
